Directing Text with Young People

Frances is a versatile and experienced arts practitioner, and has done arts-based projects with young people across the UK for the past 13 years, as well as in the Favelas of Rio de Janeiro in 2007.

A theatre and visual arts graduate, a trained drama teacher and director,  Frances has devised and delivered Drama and Media Arts courses in schools and has directed numerous plays and devised pieces with young people for schools, drama groups and national youth theatre festivals.

Alongside her theatre work she also runs her own documentary-making company that has work currently published in the UK and abroad. Working with footage from prestigious archives and published by Atlantic Publishing, the documentaries weave the tales of popular stories and culture that have been captured on film over the past 100 years.
